Llobet & Pons
Jasmina Llobet and Luis Pons are a visual artist collective based in Barcelona. They lived in Berlin for more than 10 years and have spent long periods working in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey and Ireland. Llobet & Pons are specialised in context-specific and community-based practice in public space. They have been working collaboratively since 2002. They are both lecturer in sculpture at the University of Barcelona, at the Fine Arts department,
Jasmina Llobet was born in Barcelona in 1978. She graduated in Fine Art from the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), where she went on to receive a Meisterschüler distinction. Prior to studying Fine Art Llobet studied Illustration at the Escola Llotja in Barcelona.
Luis Pons was born in Madrid in 1979. He graduated in Fine Art from the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK), where he went on to receive a Meisterschüler distinction. He later graduated from the MA Art in Context programme at the UdK Berlin. Working on his doctoral research at the University of Barcelona, on the subject of ‘contemporary sculpture in public space’.
