Llobet & Pons

They work as an artist partnership since 2002, and they live and work in Barcelona

Jasmina Llobet and Luis Pons are a visual artist collective and assistant professors at the Fine Arts Faculty of the University of Barcelona. They have also served as visiting professors at Tunghai University. Taichung, Taiwan (2019-2020). Specialising in sculpture, public art and context-specific projects, Llobet & Pons have spent over ten years living in Berlin and have participated in numerous artist residency programs. Their research stays have taken them to South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Turkey, and Ireland. Their work primarily focuses on the creation of public sculptures, many of which are permanent installations.

Education:
Jasmina Llobet (1978, Barcelona) completed a Doctorate in Heritage at the University of Jaén, with International Certification, in 2024. She earned a degree in Fine Art from the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK) in 2005, where she went on to receive a Meisterschüler distinction.

Luis Fernández Pons (1979, Madrid) obtained a Doctorate in Advanced Studies in Artistic Productions at the University of Barcelona, with international Certification, in 2023. He graduated in Fine Art from UdK Berlin in 2004, , followed by a Meisterschüler distinction. He later completed the MA in Art in Context at UdK Berlin in 2008.
